My wife and I recently started converting an extra bedroom into a mini multimedia room. I am looking to get an AV receiver. I am looking to spend about $500.00 give or take $100.00.
Basic Information:
LG 42" 1080p LCD
Comcast Cable Service
AppleTV (w/ Boxee)
Sony PS3 (80GB)
Xbox 360 Elite
Surround speakers with Sub. (will be upgraded at a later date)
XM satellite service
I want something with at least 4 HDMI inputs so I can use all my toys with it. A 5th or 6th HDMI wouldn't go to waste since I also have a linux media server with hdmi output. However, my lcd has two hdmi inputs so I can use the 2nd input on the tv if I have too.
I am considering the following receivers.
Denon - 700W 7.1-Ch. Apple® iPod®/Satellite Radio-Ready Home Theater Receiver AVR-2309CI
Sony - 700W 7.1-Channel A/V Receiver STRDG920
I am not set on either one above, those are just the two I have seen with very good reviews. Thanks for the help in advance.
