Help! RXV1700 Prologic2x doesn't work with PCM?

I connected an HDA2 high definition DVD player to the RXV1700 via HDMI. The only way to output the Dolby Digital Plus signal from the HD disc is through PCM.


The problem is that the receiver does not output to the two rear surround speakers when Prologic2x is enabled. (This works perfectly fine when playing regular Dolby or DTS discs which are output in Bitstream from the player)


According to the Sticky topic, this receiver should output 7.1 channels with PCM:


"6) Level 5 receivers that output 7.1 channels of uncompressed lossless HDMI PCM formats.

Examples: All latest HDMI Denons. Yamaha RX-V1700 and higher. Pioneer Elite 81TXV and higher.(possibly more, see annotation)."


So what's going on?
