Hello all!

I hope I have the right forum! I apologize in advance if it's incorrect! Here's my issue. I have a LN46A950 and I've purchased the InfoLink WIS-08BG Lan adapter to connect to my network wirelessly. This all works flawlessly, the TV gets and IP address everything works on that front. It shows up on my router, and all the built in internet widgets work fine (like weather!).

The problem comes when I try to hook up Samsung's PC Share Manager. I've installed the latest version Samsung suggests for the TV (1.5) and the server is started and I have a folder shared. I click the share tab at the top and go into "Set Device Policy". here you need to "accept" the TV to gain access to sharing. But the TV never shows up. I've tried everything with my firewall and router and I just can't get it to show up. I've even disabled my firewall entirely (on the router and on Windows Vista). I've searched the web vigorously for a solution and the only problem I could find was if your PC was hooked up wirelessly as well, which it is NOT.

Has anyone run into anything like this? It's really annoying, I've spent so much money on all this and I just can't get it working at all! I've spent a week on it already.

Please if anyone knows anything to try it would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your time!

This is the problem I'm having, the TV doesn't show up, so I can't accept it and allow it to be "trusted". It just won't show up as if the program doesn't even see it. Even though the router has it connected and it's definitely working. Well working till the PC share manager tries to find it.

Do you need MR-00EA1 for the PC Share Manager or just the InfoLink WIS-08BG?? My TV is on order and haven't looked into what accessories are needed. For this new thread someone please explain.

As far as I know you do not need the MR-00EA1, although it does create a dedicated media center for the TV. I believe you can hook up to PC Share Manager and use your computers link as the "Media Center". The InfoLink WIS-08BG is just a Lan adapter to connect wirelessly to your home computers router.
