I'm building a new house and came up with this design for a single source system. I need some input from people that know what they are doing.

SONY DE185 with A/B speaker set (100 watts each). Pioneer 101 CD changer.

Wiring 4 rooms to a Russound EZBlock and then running from there to Speaker output A on the Sony.

Wiring 3 rooms to a 2nd Russound EZBlock and then running from there to Speaker output B on the Sony (hoping for more power to these rooms cause only 3 sets of speakers instead of 4 like above, true?).

Between each EZBlock and speaker set is a Russound LPTx-2D impedence matching volume control. I'm using AudioSouce 8" ceiling speakers.

Infrared will be handled by 3 Russound 858 in-wall receivers that terminate at a Russound IRB-6 output connecting block. This was much cheaper than combo IR/Volume controls.

I bought and tested a Russound A-BUS system and am returning it, because the input to the ABUS system came from the stereos line input. I didn't get any equalizer effects and the result was the sound came through without much bass. This solution is cheaper and I'm hoping I will get more power to my speakers instead of the 7.5 watts per channel the A-BUS delivered.

Thanks!
