HELP! Sony DCR-HC21 Owners - PP CD-ROM Part Number

I have the DCR-HC21 and the "Picture Perfect" software never really worked under XP well, nor did it install under Vista. I didn't think I needed to keep the CD around since it served no purpose to me. The software was my only complaint with this $350 camera I got from Walmart.


Anyway, now Sony offers a download of a new Vista compatible Picture Perfect, but you need the Part Number that was on the original CD. Doh.


Does anyone have the CD laying around that could post the part number?

Nevermind, I found the CD. I was able to use the number on the CD top to download the latest update from Sony (now called Sony Picture Utility). However, the update requires you to put in the physical CD original that came with the camcorder to complete install.


So, even if you have the number, it won't do you any good w/o the actual CD.


The lastest Sony Picture Utility does work great under vista now!
