Help: Sony HT-CT100 vs HT-SS360 vs Panasonic SC-PT770

3074 Views 6 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  sukhjeet
I'm looking for an inexpensive HTiB system and have narrowed it down to the following:

Sony HT-CT100 - $252

Panasonic SC-PT770 $310 (or the SC-PT760 for $239)

Sony HT-SS360 - $282

Any advice on which one I should choose?

The thing is...you're running the gamut of HTiBs with these things - a receiver/BD player, a soundbar without a player, and two 5 disk DVD players...one with wireless speakers and one without.

You need to ask yourself what you want first.

That said, I would look at this refurbished Denon/BA set for about $325 shipped before I looked at the other things but that's just me.
Go with the Denon B/A package. 30+ years of experience here.

honestly, i was just looking for a good and inexpensive, entry level sound system. there were some features to each of those i was looking at that i liked: simplicity of a sound bar, wireless rear speakers, included dvd player, etc. looks like people really like that denon b/a package so i'll probably go with that. any other advice would be much appreciated!
I think the Denon/BA set is better even if it's refurbished, but it doesn't have any of the things that your looking for: DVD or BD player, wireless, or the simplicity of a soundbar.

In the end you should chose what's best for you.
out of all of the extra features i'm looking for, the most important is probably rear wireless speakers or just a nice virtual surround system. are there any relatively inexpensive/entry-level systems that people recommend with one of those features?
that denon actually looks great, but they're out of stock... is there another system that is almost as good?
