Have Yamaha aventage rx-a1040, having problems streaming music... My son's IPhone works like a dream... Any suggestions?

Music source? I have no problems with Yamaha 671, using Moto G Yamaha app, playing music from Qnap to the Yamaha speaker outputs using the Yamaha app.

To play onto the Moto G speaker I use Mediahouse. In fact just tried Mediahouse, I can select Yamaha or Moto G in play to list. Seems simpler than Yamaha app

So try Mediahouse
