Hello all.

Noob here trying to finish my home theatre system but at a loss as to what speakers to go after and where I should place them.

The receiver I'm leaning towards and most likely will get is the Pioneer 1019.

Can someone suggest speakers that will compliment this receiver the best?

I'm looking for something in the $500-600 range.

Right now I'm looking at these two:

Definitive

Energy RC

Are those two pretty good? The reviews seem pretty positive.

Thoughts?

Thanks CR.

Yeah I saw those as well but compared to the RC, they were pretty much getting the same reviews.

Thing about the TC that I don't think I"ll like is the size of the speakers.

They aren't that much bigger to give you much better mid range and overall sound.

Take Classic have better reviews than the RC Micro's

Here is the review of the Take Classic

If you only need 5.1, why not go for the Pioneer 919 or newer 820 or even the Denon 1610/590? Put the savings towards your speaker budget. If you need small, Mirage Nanosats and Orb Audio are a couple of my favorite small speakers. I compared both head-to-head here:

That said, bookshelf speakers will give better overall sound.
