Hello,

I am a newbie to this. I am able to record OTA transport

streams using MYHD card. I am trying to convert the .TP

file to a Mpeg2 file. I tried using hdtvtompeg2 version

1.07 and version 1.10. Both seem to work and create

a Mpeg file. I can even see the video preview in version

1.10. When I try to view the created Mpeg file in another

media player it will not run. I have tried all media players.

Here is the message I get using windows media player:

"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The file is

either corrupt or the Player does not support the format

you are trying to play." Am I using the correct software

to convert the transport stream? Has anyone using the

MyHD card created mpeg files? Thanks for your help.

1.10 of HDTV2MPEG has bug issues. 1.09 is much more reliable, but not without some issues. I have troubles with local ABC station that uses 720P. WinDVD player version 3 and 4 can play TP files after naming to TRP. To use Media Player or other File players you might try the Elecard Filters. You must be willing to live with their logo in the upper right corner, but they are free. The WinDVD and Elecard filters can not handle multi-channel streams. I have been able to create graphs with the Elecard filters that can handle multi-channels, so maybe Zoom Player could be an option.
