Is your calibrator ISF certified?
What equipment did he use?
What software did he use?
This is not only good information for us to know, but for you to ask up front.
Is your calibrator ISF certified?I had a calibration done on my Sony A90J last month and have been very happy with the results. I asked my calibrator a few questions the day-of, but now that I've sat with the TV a while and looked over the calibration readings he left with me, I have a couple of questions.
For example, in this chart of post-calibration results, Cyan is an outlier. How does this actually manifest itself in real-world content? I understand that 3 is the "perceptible" threshold, so does this mean dark scenes appear way bluer than they should? Just a little bluer? Barely noticeable? And why did my calibration not fix this color as well as the others; a problem with the panel related to this color?

And I feel like I already know the answer to this one: Is there anyway to dial this down a bit (i.e. the Cyan issue) or will any tweaks completely wreck the rest of the calibration?
Thanks!

I recognize my handiwork
That is cyan at 15% stimulus, a level that is rarely measured. I started including that measurement in my reports many years ago when it was discovered that the LG OLEDs of the day (like the EF9500) had a largely incorrectable greenish tint to very dark cyan levels, orders of magnitudes worse than what your set has. You could go hours without noticing it on those sets, but there was a particular scene in Argo that would show it up.
That dark shade of cyan is not independently adjustable in your set. Trying to correct it would be futile and harmful to other color levels.

Chad is in Ohio. He’s a great choice for calibrations too. Go to hdtvbychadb.com and send a message to see when he’ll be in your area. He’s scheduled to calibrate my A80J this weekend. You know of anyone in the Quad City area Illinois side that does calibrations. My local Best Buy stopped
