I am trying to use the emitters with the MRF-100 RF base station to control

Tivo in another room and a Lutron Grafik Eye that is out of line-of-sight. The base station correctly "floods" the cabinent and will control the Lutron if you physically point the base at the box. However, the plug-in flashers that we have running about 40 or so feet over Cat 5e are not working. We tested a flasher that hadn't been spliced and it worked fine. Is there a reason the flasher cables cannot be spliced?

Any help appreciated!

Flasher cables can be spliced.

Here is the response I got from URC on this very question:

You can use 16 gauge two conductor speaker wire to extend the flashers, it will be fine.

Thank you,

For anyone who cares, the problem was the flasher wire within the insulation had some type of coating that prevented proper contact from

being made when we spliced it. We soldered the wires together and got a good connection and everything worked fine.
