Hello I'm new here and I need your help!
I bought SMSL SA-60 amplifier to connect my Dali Concept 2 book-shelf speakers to the computer.

I have connected the amp to the computer with RCA to 3.5mm jack, to the line-out on the computer..
I turned the volume up and there were no sound.. I turned the volume all the way up, both on the computer and the amp.. if I put my ears up to the speakers I only can hear a tiny bit of sound...
Please can somebody help me!?!?

Double check that you have not accidentally plugged the amp into the line input or microphone input connector on the computer. They're usually right next to the line output, so it's easy to plug into the wrong one. The icons most often used on them are stupidly ambiguous.

The pink socket is the microphone *input*
The light blue socket is the line *input*
The light green socket is the line *output*

Stick a headphone in the jack.

If it plays, the problem is elsewhere.

If not...

---

On my PC, there are six jacks on the back plus two on the front.

They can all be reassigned as to function. you plug something in, a pop-up asks "what did you just plug into this jack?" with a list of several items - which speaker, or line in, or mic in.

That's a function of the soundcard drivers/gui, not windows

---

I just plugged some headphones into the Pink jack on the front, that has a MIC symbol emossed on the plastic cover:

I get to select the function.

I selected Headphones, and they work.
