hello guys, i've just signed up but been following some of the topics here and got to say that it's a great community.

i do need your kind help.

im building a home automation system that uses cell phone to control lights over bluetooth.

and using a BlueSMiRF Gold bluetooth module.

but here's the thing, while trying to write the phone program using PyS60, i cuoldn't figure out what kind of command to send over the bluetooth to activate P1.1 for example.

and also in the assembly code (full code is attached) the hexadecimal number 31H should SET P1.0.

how can i send this command over the Hyperterminal or im using Lynxterminal?

let me know if you needed more details

thanks in advance.

Try 049 in Hyperterminal. You must use the alt key to the right of the spacebar, and must use the numeric keypad for the digits. And don't forget to use all 3 digits. This (at least used) to make the keyboard generate the raw ASCII value. Code 065 should generate a capital 'A', 032 a space, etc.

thanks for the response,

unfortunately it didn't work,

the thing is that im not sure of what im sending out is the correct string.

from my understanding of the code, to set Pin 1.0, i should send out an 'A' followed by 0AH then 39H? correct me if im wrong.

and if i should consider spacing or commas ..etc

thanks again.
