Here is the layout of our living room. the problem is that the room setup is not to friendly for surround sound. does anyone have a good idea on how to setup surround sound for this room? 5.1, 6.1, 7.1?

the yellow spots are places that i thought i could put Surround speakers or above the couches i could put a in Ceiling speaker

This is the setup i have decided on going with

Sony KDL-52XBR6 LCD

Wall MT. Sanus VMDD26B

With side and center speaker mounts

XAS1AB1, VMCC1B

Sony Receiver

STRDA5400ES or STRDA6400ES

Front and Center Speakers

Monitor Audio R250's

Sub

Monitor Audio R720

Surround speakers

Monitor Audio R90's

But maybe In wall speakers?

What would be best for this room 5.1, 6.1, 7.1?

Are you absolutely dedicated to the corner placement for the TV and front array?

That is the worse possible placement and I think you’re taking the Mickey. Look at professianl cinema layout that will give some idea, there’s no way I’m getting fully involved with this, no way, because I too damn tired.
