I am very bad at math so maybe you can lend me a hand. I am tring to install a NEC 6PG projector onto the ceiling but need to calculate the distances. I have a da-lite 50"1/2" x 67" 84" Diag 4:3 format screen. Here are the calculation to get the distances.

W"=Screen H-Width 67"

A=(5/18 x W" + 1) X 5 5/16"

B=0.191 X A + 10 7/16"

C=0.981 X A

Thanks for your help

I think your post should be in our Front Projection forum instead of Home Theater General, you wll get a lot more attention there.:)

Check at NECTECH.COM. They have throw charts there for all their projectors that will show all the distances already done for you. I believe 80" is one of the options. That will get you in the ballpark.

A=104.1840278

B=30.33664931

C=102.2045313

If these are in inches, then

A: 8 feet and 8.1840278 (close to 8 & 3/16) inches

B: 2 feet and 6.33664931 (close to 6 & 5/16) inches

C: 8 feet and 6.2045313 (close to 6 & 3/16) inches
