Hello Everybody!

First of all I’m sorry with my English I’m from Argentina and.

I have an LCD rear projector (Panasonic PT-50LCX63). I had until last week a connection through components cables (Monster THX) to my Hughes HTL-HD (DirecTV) and picture quality was beautiful in all HD channels. I got this week a cable that goes from my TV (HDMI) to my set top box (DVI) and the picture is gorgeous 1080I video signal (HBO – HDNet – Discovery HD) but when I switch to ESPN-HD (video signal 720P) the picture is displayed with unnatural colors (as if red and blue are reversed). I called Panasonic and they told me to try with an S-Video connection for that particular channel, after connecting an S-video the picture looks fine but it’s not as good as it used to be with the components.

Do you have any suggestions? I’m new to this new wonder of HD television!

Thanks & Regards

Fernando

This may sound silly, but maybe you switched the component video cables? If you switch the blue signal, and the red signal, you will get exactly what you described. Take a close look at your cables and make sure they are on the same connectors on your source and on your TV.
