I have a new Denon 4310 amp that is stuck in the midst of updating it's firmware. It's been at "1 min" on the Ethernet update for hours. I've turned power off and on several times and tried a dsp reset without success.
Try doing the network reset ... power off AVR and hold the (up) and (down) arrow buttons on the front panel while powering the AVR back up again. If still no joy, you likely have a bad network card which you can either replace on your dime ($175) or ship to a repair facility for warrany repair.
You can check the current firmware Main Ver # by powering off the AVR and the holding the and buttons while powering on the AVR. Then each time you press the button it will cycle through the different settings to including the Main Ver# and Sub Ver #.
