Help with designing a theatre room

We recently moved into a new house which has a bonus room above the garage. Half of the room is being used for cardio/yoga and an office. The other half of the room we would like to setup as a theatre.

Our primary uses will be for movies/shows from streaming services on an Nvidia Shield Pro, sports, and video games. We don't need to blast sound (sometimes movie theaters are too loud for us). We just want it to look and sound good, especially the center channel for dialogue.

The room has a few windows, but we will get blackout curtains and the walls are painted dark grey already. The room also has a ceiling mount, power and HDMI ran for the projector. It has a power outlet on the floor we would like to use for the powered recliners, so those distances can't really change. With the odd slopes on the ceiling I'm not sure if it's possible to easily setup Atmos speakers, but we would like a receiver that can handle that if we decide to try to add them in the future.

We would like to keep the budget around $10,000-$12,000 if possible.

I have been reading a lot of posts and see that the Epson 5050 is highly recommended. With our content I was thinking a 16:9 screen makes the most sense, and with a 11'6" viewing distance something around 130-140" screen. Does this sound right? We typically prefer to sit around 1/3 of the way forward in a movie theater.

After looking at some of the mid range roundup reviews I was leaning towards the Chane 2.4 for LCR speakers, with an HSU VTF-3 MK5 subwoofer. Are those good options, should I be considering something else? Are there any recommendations for receivers and also surround speakers? Is there anything else I'm missing?

Thanks

Here are some pictures of the room.

Paging @Silva741. Would @Silva741 please pick up the red courtesy phone.
I would recommend to look into the svs pb 3000. It will be alot cleaner and have extra power so u won't be let down with the bass in that room. U can always turn it down but u can't always push a sub to higher volume with out problems.
To start, get two (2) HSU VTF-3 MK5's.

What setup are you wanting? 5.1? 5.1.4? 9.1.6?

Are 2 subs needed to sound better, or just to make it louder?

We had been interested in the 5.1.4 Atmos setup, but given the weird angled ceiling and the fact we will only be in this house 3-4 years, we were planning on just 5.1 for now. If we had a receiver that gave us the option of going to Atmos later that would be a plus.

I had read the LCR + subwoofer were the most important to spend money on, and the quality of the surround (and atmos if we got them) speakers weren't as important. Is that right? Do you think the Chane's are a good option?

Thanks

Thanks. Do you have thoughts on the rest of the equipment?

Wow, I looked at his posts and he does some really cool work.

In my case we are pretty set with the space and design of the room, we will only be in this house a couple of years. I'm really looking for advice on the equipment aspect. Is this the right category to be posting in?
Every one likes different sound. U need to find a home audio shop and listen to all the brands. What i like could be different from what u like. Saying that some brands to listen to I would recommend to start would be klipsch above $600 per speaker there lower end stuff just doesn't show there true colors. Svs speakers, elac, emotiva amazing gear great prices, right now for avr gear I would say to look at yamaha a4a a6a a8a or anything with dirac live built in. Right now panasonic makes the best bluray players unless u can find an oppo under 2k. Hsu makes good subs but there not even in the same class as svs. Hsu is closer to monolith, elac, rsl. Svs class is like rel, Martin logan, morel, svs builds everything from the ground up. Hsu does not. I have no clue on projectors I picked oled.
