Hey guys,


I've got a DVD/reciver combo, DAV-FX500. the unit works fine, but the remote died on me. I recently moved and want to run the auto speaker calibration...but I quickly realized that I can't get to the menu without the remote.


So my question for you guys, does anyone know a way to enter the menu without the original remote.


And I guess if anyone has any trouble shooting tips for the remote, I would appreciate that. I took it apart and can't see anything obvious. It doesn't light up or anything anymore...so I am thinking it may be a power issue. Replacement remotes are almost $100!!

I looked into buying another remote, I couldn't find them for under $80! Thanks for the eBay link, I never would have guessed they were so expensive.
