Not really sure where to post this, becuase it involves several pieces of equipment, and I need some help.
I'm about to get an SA8300HD DVR, that has HDMI, and I'd like to take advantage of it, mostly for the video. If it has a simple functioning DVI, I'll use that, if not...
I have a a Toshia MT8 and a DVI cable I've been using with my DVD player.
I've got an old Sony Receiver that can handle Digital Coxial, or Optical audio, and I need to upgrade this anyway, so keep that in mind.
So, how do I take 1 HDMI connection, and run it to a DVI PJ, and a Receiver? Does this cable need to be split? Should I just use HDMI for Video and get a HDMI -> DVI adapter? Are there receivers out that can make this easier by splitting and sending out a DVI signal to PJ? $1000-$1500 limit.
Basically, just want to get the 8300 and MT8 showing the best possible picture.
