Hi everyone,

I am a newbie here and would like to seek some help on choosing speakers for my HT system. Here is what I have now:

Onkyo 607 receiver

Polk audio CS 10 central speaker

PA-120 subwoofer

I am still looking for two front speakers and two rear speakers. My budget for these four speakers are around $300-$400.

Most of the time I watch movies and listen to music, sometimes I would like to set it up as a karaoke system for friends to relax.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated!

thanks.

Are you planning on keeping your center channel? If so, then I would look for R/L mains that timber match with that center channel speaker. I don't know anything about Polks, but if "CS" is a particular line of their speakers, then I would stay within that line. That way, your front sound stage is a seamless as possible (in theory anyway).

Good luck.

EDIT: The main POLK thread on this forum.... http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...highlight=polk

Thanks SUPERMANROB and quadriverfalls for your information. I am not sure if polk audio is good for karaoke. I will see if I can ask people in polk thread.

Thanks again.
