I've been thinking about setting up an htpc, right now I'm in the market for a video card, and a tv capture card. My Mist. TV will accept rgbhv or regular component inputs. Can I use VGA out to the rgbhv with a vga breakout cable? Thus saving purchasing the ATI dongle , will this set up limit resolution on DVD playback?


And what video cards would you recommend. If this would work I would like a card with dual vga outputs so I can connect the Mits, and a regular monitor. I was thinking about the ATI 9600, but it looks like it have one VGA and one DVI, my LCD monitor doesn't have a DVI.


Please help.

Do most cards with DVI and VGA come with a DVI to VGA adapter or is this something I'll have to buy extra.


And is VGA the same as RGBHV?
