Help with Jamo A5Sub Subwoofer

I need an audiophiles help with my Jamo "A5Sub" Subwoofer. I have had this particular sub for a while now, but I find myself "tweaking" the sound a little too often. I was wondering what the basic or average settings to use for the:


*Cut off frequency (between 40Hz-150Hz)

*Phase (between 0 to -180)


I am currently using a Sony receiver (STRDB840), but eventually plan on upgrading to an Onkyo.


My setup includes Paradigm's Cinema 90 series speakers that are placed relatively close to my LCD set. My living room is rather small and is carpeted. The sub rests right beside my home theater on the left.


Any help would be much appreciated.
