I currently am using reference studio 40's v2 as fronts, reference studio cc center channel and am looking for the proper adp surrounds for this setup. I know the adp 590's are the right ones, just can't afford them. Paradigms customer service told me I could use the adp 390's but they are hard to find. I just spotted a pair of reference adp 450's on the audiogon website but Have never even heard of them. Does anyone know about these? and will they work as side surrounds?

Thanks

For home theater I think the ADPs are a dated design and one should use bipoles. Since Paradigm doesn't make any, the Emotiva ERD-1 might be a good choice. Timbre matching isn't as important in the surrounds.

Axiom also makes some switchable dipole / bipole surrounds.
