I've been out of the home theatre  game for a bit at this point. In the last couple years I have made some purchases to bring the whole thing back though. I was spending some time last night trying to hook this stuff up, and I am confused as hell at the moment. This is what I am currently working with:

1. TV - LG LG55LW5600

2. AVR - Harman Kardon 3700

3. PLaystation 3

4. 2 Floorstanding Klipsch RF-52II

5. 1 Center Klipsch RC-52II

Theres not a whole lot there to hook up, and although it seems pretty straight forward....I'm having a heck of a time trying to figure this out. How do I set this thing up so I can just turn the on TV and play it without having the rest of the system on? The cable is being sent through a cable box via charter. Should the PLaystation go directly to the AVR or to the TV?? Thanks in advance, sorry for the dumb quesiton.

Most newer receivers have hdmi standby through or bypass. I just searched through your manual and

it looks like your receiver doesn't have this feature. So turn the receiver on every time you want to watch

tv. Then connect all playback sources to the receiver. Otherwise connect devices to tv and connect sound

from tv to receiver. The biggest knock on HK is slow to add new features like this.
