My uncle recently passed away and he was a huge audio geek. I came across these speaker cables in all of his stuff and have never seen anything like them before. Can some tell me what these are and what they are used for? Are these expensive/ high end type of cables? The grey are 12 gauge and the black are 14 gauge. Any help and advise on what to do with these would appreciated. Thanks

Well you can bi amp/bi wire with the grey cable, or combine the two pairs to make 9 Gauge wire.

With the black wire, you can tri amp/tri wire, or bi amp/bi wire with two pairs combined to make 11 gauge wire and the third still 14 gauge wire. Or you can combine all 3 pairs to make 9 gauge wire.

I would say not “audiophile” wire but high quality wire (If OFC and not CCA) that can be used for many different applications.
