anything you get that will include hdmi video switching that is a cost-effective solution will include at least 5.1, if not 7.1.
bang for the buck you are better off going to an a/v receiver, even if you don't use the other channels.
another solution would be to get a stereo receiver for cheap, and then get an hdmi video switcher from monoprice.
