Okay, this is a nothing thread, but it was great seeing all of you at CES this week. You are all industry giants, as far as I'm concerned. I also enjoyed speaking with a few nice AVS Forum members who were kind enough to stop by and put a face (an old face) to the name.

You are right. Not even one single picture ...
Now that you have created this thread, let us carry on any way.

What Triad was showcasing at CES 2007?

Starting this thread, it was not my intention to be a shameless promotion-whore. But, you asked.

We introduced a more upscale Omni line containing "special edition" versions of our InWall, InRoom, and InCeiling Omni speakers. (Not the OmniRounds.) There are eight "Omni SE" models, and they are the same size as their non-SE counterparts, but with custom designed Seas drivers. For example, our current InWall Gold/4 Omni is $500, and the new InWall Gold/4 Omni SE is $850. Instead of nice Peerless and Vifa drivers, it uses over-the-top Seas drivers for higher sensitivity, better sonics, much better treble, and greater power handling. This speaker is mainly for distributed audio where a customer wants something really good that can handle a little EQ for huge sound with a small footprint, either in the ceiling, wall, or on a bookshelf or stand. (There will be an InRoom and InCeiling version.) There will also be three new Silver Omni SEs ($750, $850), and two Platinum Omni SE models ($1200 each.) Available in April.

Because we make our stuff in America, we decided to offer custom widths on our 3-LCR-in-one-enclosure OnWall Mini LCR 3.0. It can be ordered in 1/4" increments up to 66" wide to fit almost all plasma displays. Supply a paint sample, and we'll paint it to match for free. The premium for making a custom size Mini LCR 3.0 is $350, bringing the retail up to $1700. Building a custom 3.0 can be done within two weeks.

We also won 13 out of 16 categories in the Inside Track Dealer Loyalty Survey in the custom division, which had 16 manufacturers including Richard Gray's, Speakercraft, Control4, Niles, Sonance, etc. Categories won included product quality, product reliability, technical support, ease of doing business, ease of installation, etc.

Ultimate A/V has a Top 10 for 2006, and the only speaker in it is the Triad InRoom Platinum LCR ($6350 each). Watch for the rave review by the well-respected Stephen Stone.

Done blowin' my horn. Thanks for dropping by.

Interesting stuff. Can't find those Omni SEs on Triad web site though.

They're several months off. We showed them so our dealers can start spec'ing them into jobs for later in the year. After we get photo samples of the first four, we'll put them on the website, but they look just like the current Omni product, unless you look closely at the woofers and see the little pieces of yellow fiber in the dark gray cones.

Out playing around?

I'm sorry I missed you, but I had lots of appointments that took me away from the booth. We'll be at CEDIA Electronic Lifestyles Expo in Las Vegas in April, though.
