I currently have two remote/remote receivers, a usb rf ATI Remote Wonder (very old) and a Hauppauge IR that came bundled with my HVR-1850 card and gets plugged into the card.

So I want to get started with Eventghost and my primary question is should I disable HID. I do use W7 Media Center.

I went to Device Manager and it seems like I have a big mess under HID. It might be due to reinstallations of software. Should I clean it up? If so what is the best way?

The x10 drivers are for my ATI remote.

Just leave it alone unless something doesn't work.

Ok. But when installing a plugin in EG if offered the option to disable HID, should I?

Thanks again for responding to my posts.

What plugin are you trying to install anyway? The MCE plugin shouldn't be used for the X10 receiver. I'm not sure about your Hauppauge receiver, but the eHome device would probably be seen by the MCE plugin.

My advice is to disable/unplug one of your IR receivers.
