When are the big boys going to introduce HDMI 1.3 into their pre-amps? halcro, proceed, krell, meridian...e.g. lower end companies are already there.

From what I've heard, the Krell got held up and will be out sometime in the fourth quarter. It will also have a hefty $25K price tag. Much higher than the article released at CES on engadget.


Denon should be out this summer for around $7K.

I think in 12 months we are going to start seeing more high end pre/pros with high end features such as HDMI 1.3 and Dolby TrueHD and the other new formats. The formats themselves are not that stable yet, especially in the DTS arena. In a year or so, more brands will be coming out with the newest processing in the high end.

There is also a rumoured DSP replacement and HDMI 1.3 update for the RDC-7.1 (Although this may not be high end enough for your tastes).
