Interesting article...

Quote:
During our tests with a Matrox G450, G550, ATI Radeon VE, Radeon All-in-Wonder, the WinFast Ti 500 showed better image consistency than any other card. While the Matrox cards were already displayed razor sharp text, the WinFast slightly passed it in terms of resolution scaling. At 1600x1200x85Hz, lines and text on the WinFast Ti 500 exhibited no noticeable ghosting or blur while the G550 showed very faint signs of edge blurriness
Is anyone on this board investigating the possibility that the radeon has met its match for HTPC?

Picture quality aside, ATI is not the most customer friendly company compared to Nvidia. Look at the number of instability posts and question about ATI product compared to Nvidia. In the same website, Firing Squad also questioned ATI's ethics as they tweaked their Radeon 8500 driver to boost Quake 3 FPS score over Geforce3 by lowering PQ quality which is not changeable by end user (unless they change the actual drivers).
