Well I'm moving and I have to say goodbye to my Stewart 100" fixed screen.

In my new house I have to get a screen that comes down from the ceiling. Does anybody have one? It needs to be good quality. Do they have a nice heavy "bar" at the bottom to keep them from swaying / etc.?

I've had my new Seymourav motorized drop down AT screen for a week now and couldn't be happier, and the picture will only get better after I darken my room and calibrate my Panny 3000.

The new XD screen material is the real deal, and the prices are far more reasonable than most other companies. The customer service is top notch, too.

I've been using Stewart's Electriscreens, in various sizes, over the past 5 years, all ceiling mounted, most "on" ceiling," one trap door (in-ceiling). All have been wonderful screens that have held up well over the years (but are not cheap).

what is AT?

the Seymour AV looks pretty good .... how much do the Stewarts cost?

We have also been using the STEWART electriscreen (Firehawk SST screen material) and it had proved an EXCEPTIONAL screen. As has been said, STEWART is not cheap, but they have been in the business forever and have won Acadamy Awards for their technological achievments in film screens. They stand by their products 100% and their customer service is exceptional! I would advise you to buy a STEWART Screen, apart from the projector this was the best investment we made bar none!

AT= Acoustically transparent. If you don't plan to put your speakers behind your screen, skip it as AT's will take away from the video quality.

Depends on the Stewart model, size, options, etc...
