I read with interest other threads about the use of a VCR as a low-cost OTA NTSC tuner with plasma displays.

I'm looking for a more sophisticated tuner (possibly professional, rather than consumer model) that would provide best possible fringe-area performance. Composite video + stereo audio outputs are a must. IR remote is highly desirable but not essential.

Any suggestions?

Here's a possibility from Aurora . I don't have any experience with this product, but just ordered a new card for my Pio plasma from them. Their products sound pretty good.

The Aurora product looks like it would fill a niche for many plasma owners. Certainly worthy of consideration in my environment. But it has much more output flexibility than I need. I'd prefer to let the Faroudja NRS do the scaling.

Thanks very much for your response!
