I recently picked up a HiPix card from a dealer that said it would record SDTV. Everything I've read here indicates that it will not. With the latest drivers, will it record SDTV?

Not at this time, no. You can view SD material but not record it.

It will record digital SD. A lot of stations broadcast SD on their Digital channels. One station broadcasts four SD streams before 8:00 pm. After 8:00 pm they switch to HD. It won't record analog NTSC stations.

It can record anything on a ATSC stations, including SD and HD.

Thanks for the replies. It sounds like as long as the signal enters the card digitally it will record it. It does not convert the analog SD signals to a recordable digital format, it only converts it to computer and NTSC resolution video for display. Pretty much what I gathered from reading about it here.
