I would like to be able to record both digital and analogue TV. Would this setup work without any conflicts between the two cards?


Build an HTPC with two separate hard drives each with it's own operating system. Optimize drive A for the HiPix card and drive B for the Hauppauge card. Boot to drive A if you plan on using the HiPix card for digital broadcasts and boot to drive B if you want to use the WinTV-PVR-usb card?

I don't think you would need to separate each of the cards to their own OS, you should be able to run both cards at the same time and I've read that some have even gotten both cards to record at the same time.


You could still have two harddrives and just tell the software for the analog recordings to write to one drive and the HD recording to write to the other drive.


Don't try to make things more complicated than they already are!
