Hi,

I have an almost 1 year old Hitachi 51S500 that has become unwatchable. I am wondering if anyone else has had the following problem:

It is producing a triple image. So if I watch something (cable, SAT, HDTV, DVD, any input, doesn't matter) it looks like there are 3 images overlapping or crammed together. Any text on the screen (including built menus, etc) appear as 3 overlapping images. For example: If you pop-up the main menu, when you see the VIDEO menu it will look like VVVIIIDDDEEEOOO all crammed together.

Another interesting thing is that it started as something that only happened when the TV was first turned on. The image would have this problem for 5 or 10 minutes and once the TV warmed up it be fine. Currently the image always has this problem.

Another Question. I have called a service rep and he came out and looked it over and decided to order a new "signal generation board". Just wondering if this seems like a logical solution.

Thanks,

Grizak
