Hello all. I'm trying decide between hitachi models 51s500 and 46w500 w/matching stand. the 46 w/stand has the benefit of keeping my receiver and dvd player underneath the television - and i REALLY like that feature because i won't have to purchase longer cables. the other concern is my center channel speaker (paradigm cc370). it will fit perfectly on top of the 51s500, but it will require support on the 46.
now, a lot of users have recommended the 51s500 over every model in this range. i was originally sold on the 51s500, but now i'm really considering the 46w500. i'll be using a dvi capable dvd player so the built in dvd player is not an issue and no one carries the non-dvd set. has anyone been able to do side-by-side comparisons of the PQ on these units? any other thoughts/recommendations?
