I'm looking to buy a 57" RPTV for a room sized 15' X 15'. I guess I'll be sitting about 7-9' from the TV. My viewing material is divided evenly between DVDs, D-Theater tapes, and crappy Direct TV.
I've been lurking here for awhile at it seems that there is a toss up between which TV is the best.
I like the fact that the Hitachi use the Wide Neck CRTs. But are they greater than 7"? I know Pioneer uses 7" CRTs.
Direct TV picture quality. . .I hear its better on the Pioneer than the Hitachi. Anyone else agree?
Firewire connectivity not too important to me. Anything digital will have to been converted to analog on these RPTVs? Right? Any difference between PQ between firewire or component video?
