Hmm, I see that Hitachi now has a DLP set listed on their web site. It is a 55", model #55DMX01WD.


Any info on price / availability? Looks like the DLP field is growing.

I'd like to know how much also! I'm very interested in the Samsung HLM617W DLP, it's priced at around $5200. Hope the Hitachi is priced around the same.

I don't think that's a new model; list price according to the latest S&V Buyer's Guide is $8,000.

I believe i saw that model at the local Ultimate Electronics. They had it on clearance for around $3500 I believe. Picture was great.
