I looked yesterday in salesrooms to compare the Mits 65809 with the Tosh 65h81. What caught me by surprise was the quality appearances of the Hitachi SWX10B series sets. They really appeared vastly superior to the Mits and Tosh. and had a wider viewing area to both. It was a few hundred $ more though and only comes in a 61 inch max size. The salespersons in both stores said it was their most reliable favorite and that most of the other brands use Hitachi patented lenses, tubes and other parts, usually older technology that Hitachi uses. Was this sales hype or true. I am now ready to buy Hitachi, but fear I may be missing something as these forums usually don't have much nice to say about Hitachi. Am I missing something? Advice from the tech gurus on this board would be greatly appreciated.
