I am looking at getting this TV and was wondering if there was a way to disable video inputs if they are not in use. I only have a DVD Player Which I would use Video 2 on (I think since that has the auto-detect - easier on the wife to play a DVD), and then Video 3 for the VCR. It would be nice to be able to "disable" inputs 1, 4 & % to not have to cycle through them on the remote to get back to ANT A. Anyone with the SWX20B line have an answer for this?

You should look at it more.

The SWX remote has direct input shortcuts on the remote.

Means you do not have to cycle through the other inputs to get where you want to ....

You can skip from ANT A to Video4 then to Video1 then to Video 5 if you want...

No cycleling on Hitachi.....That's for other brands

I have the similar XWX series. There is no cycling though inputs as there are individual buttons for each on the remote for vid1-vid5 and separate button for antennas. You can name each, but actually disabling, I'm not sure. Also, if you will be using the AVnet feature, the proper input is automatically selected by the set when you select the device to use.

HTH.

edit: you beat me to it!!! ;)
