I believe the 147 has autoEQ setup while the 146 does not. The EQ stuff makes a big difference. Neither one processes audio through HDMI. You need the 247 for that.

HK 146 vs 147?
What is the difference between these two besides $100, 10w, and a serial port? Is that it?

If the audio is sent via PCM through an HDVD or Bluray player, can it still send it to the speakers. I would think it could since the ausio is being processed in the HD/blu player, right?
