So I have new Yamaha 6190B $699. I'm concerned about the video clipping issue, I have hooked up my components direct and can notice the difference from when they are going through the AV. But it's not a huge deal. Since everything is on sale right now I could return it and get either the Pioneer 9130 $699 or the Harmon Kardon HK 354 $799 ($100 more but it comes with the ipod dock, which I need).

I'm leaning toward the HK 354, but after reading the long owners thread, I'm a bit concerned about all of the bugs, even though most have been resolved by a firmware update. I do enjoy listening to music as well as watching movies. So my main draw to the HK is the fidelity.

I have read too much information on all of these AV's, what I need is suggestions from people on what they would do.

I'm running a 10" JBL sub, and Klipshe Quintet's, + Klipshe RB10's for the front. So my speakers are quite small. Panasonic blue ray and 50" samsung series 4 plasma.

Your thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

I avoided the HK because of the bugs. Sure, most of them are "supposedly" fixed, but after reading most of the owner's thread and the problems/solutions thread I decided it's just not worth it.

I went in to get the 6190 at Future Shop but they are out for now, so I went with the Pioneer 1018. I may keep it, or return it and upgrade to the 6160 or 6190. Gonna go watch a couple more movies tonight and decide.

Ya I may just stay with the 6190. But the on screen interface is like "Pong" does it look like that with the ipod dock?

I love my 354... using it with a Wii, PS3, and Klipsch Synergy series speakers.

Just updated the firmware, and don't have any issues (not that I really had any before).

So far it is a great receiver.
