Can my HK AVR 7000 switch component, For example on the back there are two inputs for component and 1 monitor out put. Can I plug my dvd and HDTV DTV receiver into these and have only 1 set of components going to my NEC MP3 Plasma?

Thanks

I believe it can. Once you set the video out settings in the menu, whenever you select that video source, it will switch to whatever video in type you assigned to your receiver.

For example: DVD --> Video 1 --> Component 1

DTV --> Video 2 --> Component 2

When you select vid2, component 2 get sends the signal to compnent monitor out.

Yes it can switch component video

but note that since it is about 3 years old, its bandwidth is about 12MHz which is too low for HD TV sources. If U have a hi def source, U should run it directly to the video display... :cool:

yep that is what I was afraid of, weird on the back of it it talks about HDCP

I have an E86 DTV that I get HDTV through so it won't pass that signal?
