Greetings, as this is my first post here let me thank you guys in advance for any help you can give me. I am considering a couple HK receivers, the 325 for $440 and the 330 for $500. I guess the 330 is newer and I haven't seen much about it on here. Any advantages to one versus the other?


I'm trying to get a receiver, mostly for HTDV/DVD's for under $500.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the HK325 was replaced by the HK430. Therefore, you really aren't comparing apples to apples with the 325 and 330. That being said, the HK325 should be a better receiver than the 330.


I don't know for certain the differences between them, but you can pull specs on both modles at HK's website.


My guess is that the 330 would have quad x-over whereas the 325 has triple x-over. Unless your side and rear surrounds needs to be set a different x-overs, then this shouldn't be an issue.


The 325 is a great amp and can be had a great prices b/c it's on its way out.
