Call HK Tech Support..
Supporting upgrades for the DAL150 to WM9 have been available, so something must be wrong on the website. However keep in mind that the DAL 150 was actually discontinued over 2 years ago.. But once you load the proper software, you will be amazed at how good MP3 files can sound either in stereo of even 5.1/7.1 by Logic 7 if you have an HK AVR.
I do have the upgrade somewhere so if HK can't help you post back and I will try and dig it out..
Originally posted by spillz564 The HK DAL-150 is a device the converts mp3 files to PCM data for sending data from a computer's usb port to a coax digital in on a receiver. There are a lot of unfortunate things about this product but one that I find particularly frustrating is that this device only works with Windows Media Player 7.1 which is included on the installation disc. On the outside of the box there is a sticker that says please go to www.harmankardon.com/dalsoftware to download the correct drivers/software to make this device work with Windows Media Player 8 or 9. But the link is broken and I can't find the updates anywhere on the web by doing a Google search. Does anyone have this updated software or know where one can get it? I'm hoping someone downloaded it while it was still posted on HK's website. Even the link that they give on their OWN website is broken. TIA, Brian |
