After reading many threads, after consider which TV to get, after deciding on the Sammy DLP, and after many weeks waiting, I finally received my HLN617W this past weekend. It was worth the wait.
While I waited, I hand-built the stand to hold my center channel and my receiver. The stand is 21" high and with a seating distance of 10", it is nothing but smiles so far with the Sammy. Still have a couple of spots in the stand for my HD box I'm picking up this weekend and a PVR that hopefully will be in the future.

vblyth,

mind if i ask what brand and where you bought your chairs?

great idea and nice work !

dyevin,

The chairs are Stressless recliners, Vegas model.

Here's the website: www.ekornes.com

I did build the side tables to match the stand. The tops of the tables are hinged so they open up to a nice storage area inside for the multiple remotes that the MX-500 replaced.

I don't have any additional pictures of the side tables, but here is an additional picture showing a close up of the stand. It was taken before I received the Sammy so you will notice the sad looking 25" diagonal I had on the stand for awhile.
