Currently I use HTPC c/w onboard DVD for playback and dish SD s-video signal for TV using dscaler. Video input card is inexpensive TV Wonder and output card is Radeon 7500. PJ Display is 800x600.
DVD playback is satisfactory; TV image has many artifacts, especially line twitter for sports as well as lip synch from time to time.
I want better SD scaled up to 800x600 and also want to view HDTV scaled down to 800x600 (until I can afford a HD capable display).
The Holo3DII and daughtercard meet my requirements, I think, but represent a considerable investment.
Before I take the plunge, what I want to know from EXPERIENCED USERS is the verdict on image quality from these cards. Will I get great SD and HDTV display as well as from my standalone component DVD player.
