Apparently, 32 GB cards are coming out this quarter with 2 TB to follow. I'm not clear on if they mean that the 2 TB cards are ALSO coming out this quarter (too good to be true) but as I just lost another 500 GB HD to a crash yesterday, I am dying for a more durable storage solution.

No they merely extended the interface to allow for UP to 2 TB cards. You're not going to see 2TB SD cards until 2TB HDD's are well past the norm.

about 3 years ago some company stated they would have these 320gb holo disks... where are they? i think only in business that can afford 10000 bucks for a machine and 200 for each disk

1TB SD is demoed at CES and 2TB may not be impossible. HOwever it could cost US$10K.
