To those who wants just a quick fix for a wall paint, I found this blend from you tube and it worked perfectly, my wall is not flat has some imperfections but when watching a movie I could not tell the difference. This is for half gallon so if you buy a gallon of Silver screen just double the black and the pewter, this was painted with a roller, I didnt paint it, i had a local guy paint the whole room with the blend even the ceiling, when lights are turned on, the room looks like a regular room with a light gray paint on it. Maybe i'll repaint it later with Mississippi man's blend in the future, but I'm happy how it turned out. Projector BenQ TK 850 throw distance around 15ft, screen close to 150 inch when zoomed. Hope this helps somebody and thank you for everybody that helped me and answered a lot of y weird questions

With a gray wall does a white cloud still look white?
My beige wall , i noticed its not as white when compared it to a piece of paper that i am using to temporarily cover a hole.

Not to me...and flesh tones have a slight greenish cast...

Nothing new, those issues have been well known with that formula for about 10 years.

However the most important thing is that your happy....I just would not go so far as to consider it as a application to recommend because SS start's out pushing Blue, the Dark Pewter adds some Green, and the Black also contributes some bit of a blueish cast. It's too easy to find something that is Neutral...you just have to ask on here for a simple Neutral Grey, so latching onto a YouTube wunderkind really doesn't make mush sense.

Always keepin mind that to be cosidered a accurate Color to use, it must be as close to Neutral as possible (example: 155-155-155) The 16 year old application Silver Screen is kinda sorta close enough that it's Blue push can be sorted out via Calibration...but honestly anyone who would use SS is not normally someone who would even bother to get / use Calibration tools.

Thanks for sharing. I just got my Epson 4010 and would like to just roll paint onto my wall. This is it currently projecting beyond my cheap 120" screen and my dark gray painted wall.

What color were the walls before? Wondering if I need to prime first.

Always Prime....if you apply a Grey over anything darker than a white, (...and especially if the Wall color is darker than the intended Screen...) the result will be darker than intended, resulting in a dimmer, less reflective surface.
I first found AVS Forum looking for tips on painting a DIY screen. This brings me waaaaaay back!

Yep, @bcortez had just posted the Silver Screen Thread earlier in the year you joined.
I am about to go to home depot and use Silver Screen color in Behr Dynasty blend suppose to be the best and even better than marque

You should rethink that choice. Using a true Neutral Grey such as Universal Grey mixed in PPG Diamond Base 2 will provide a better, truer color image**...and the PPG Diamond is just as good as any premium Behr brand.

But at a considerably lower price.
** Silver Screen has always presented a slight bluish push to Whites and altered the color of lighter pastels.

I'm certainly not against individuals experimenting....but frankly that all it amounts to being. An experiment, considering the wealth and breadth of proven, practical applications that are available on here to choose from.

Attempts that look good to the doer may be good for the "doer"...and that's OK. But one-off applications should not be held up or presented as being "to go to" choices....but rather "your results may vary" ones.
